STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES

Dear PhD and Master students,

we - Vivien Koch and Polina Zotova - are the new elected student speakers for the current SFB funding period.

Some of you might know us already, but for those who don't, we want to introduce ourselves briefly.

Vivien: I completed my bachelor's and master's degree in health sciences and biology in Osnabrück. Since September 2025, I have been an IRTG-associated PhD-student in the division ‘Chemical Biology of Membranes’, working on the regulation of lysosomal lipid homeostasis. I am really excited to work together with you as student representative.

Polina: I’m Polina, a PhD student in structural biology, and this experience finally made me feel like a real scientist. I’m passionate about science, curious about people, and always happy to connect students, share ideas, and support our community.

We are happy to continue the job from the former student speakers, Verena and Sebastian.

+          decide together with the IRTG Board on funding applications

+          invite speakers for the IRTG Retreat, SFB-Seminar and Career Seminar

+          organize science and beer seminars

+          organize the above mentioned and additional activities alone or together with our IRTG coordinator
